While I’m not participating in this story telling event, I wanted to share the details with you.

My publisher, EXtasy Books asked for 25 of their authors to volunteer to write a short Christmas or holiday story. They will be publishing one each day from December 1 to December 25.15181631_10153942076990025_182770077416975801_n

They are all short stories, and range in price from $1.59-$2.99.

This time of year is particularly busy with decorating, shopping, cooking, baking, and visiting friends and relatives, therefore it might be hard to carve out some time for reading. That’s what’s so perfect about these stories. They aren’t terribly long, just enough to satisfy that romance reading itch, and give us a break from all the hustle and bustle.

It’s also a great way to try out a new author. I’ve asked some of them to comment below with their cover and a little teaser. See what sparks your interest!

Personally I love reading a holiday story in December. It’s a great time to curl up with a mug of hot cocoa and a romantic tale. One of my favourites is a novel by Gaelen Foley (you might remember her from my blog post Discovery: Reading my first romance novel). Each year I enjoy reading Lord of Ice, the third instalment in the series featuring the Knight Family. I love, love, love these books!

This year, in addition to Lord of Ice, I’m going to be sure to stop by EXtasy’s webpage and purchase a few of their stocking stuffer holiday stories.
